Event Details

A course of three lectures.

Buy a ticket to sit in the stalls and watch what is happening on stage … Or maybe not: a modern theater offers the audience a variety of roles and strategies of behavior. A whole city can become a stage space, where every passer-by turns into a participant in the performance. Or vice versa: you are the only spectator of the theatrical performance in your own bathroom. You turn into a creator of a performance, assemble it from scenes-fragments like a puzzle, watch it on your mobile phone, or suddenly notice how a personal video call becomes a work of art. A series of lectures by Elena Malchevskaya is devoted to how the audience has changed and what roles modernity has forced the viewer to play.

Lecturer: Elena Malchevskaya, theater critic, theater researcher, teacher, curator of theater projects at the ART Corporation.
