A Spanish comedy 7 Reasons to Run Away (from Society) will be screened within Listapad. Collections. The film will have a limited release. Directors Gerard Quinto, Esteve Soler, and David Torres created the film from seven stories where black humor is combined with a nightmare, and laughter turns into screams of horror. The film will be screened only in Centralny cinema from 15 to 21 August.
We meet them every day. An unpleasant neighbor, a colleague, a friend getting married, a crazy family on the street, an old friend or a cunning salesman. And no one knows what they are really thinking. Maybe they just want to kill you.
7 Reasons to Run Away is a critical view of today’s society that questions the values it puts forward. Seven moments of black humour as strange as they are familiar. Seven surreal takes on a society that never advances. Seven tales of black humour about a dysfunctional society.
Following on from its world premiere at the recent SXSW festival in Austin (Texas), the anthology film 7 Reasons to Run Away (from Society) took part in the official competition section of the 22nd Malaga Film Festival, was presented at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF) and Bucheon IFFF 2019.
It is the triumvirate’s first feature film. They have already combined forces back in 2014 to shoot the short film Interior. Familia.
