Tristan Séguéla turns against each other two completely opposite characters – a grumpy doctor and an optimistic courier. An on-call emergency doctor is struck by a crippling back-ache. In order not to leave patients unattended on the Christmas Eve and to protect himself from dismissal, he gets help from a pizza delivery boy who will need to step in the doctor’s shoes.

The world premiere of the film took place in France at the Montpellier Mediterranean Film Festival. Docteur? received an award at the 28th Sarlat Film Festival (France) and the Grand Prix at the Liege International Comedy Film Festival (Belgium). Docteur? is the third film by Tristan Séguéla, known for his debut comedy 16 Ans Ou Presque with Laurent Lafitte in the title role, which became a hit in his homeland.

A Christmas comedy is the most successful project in the career of Tristan Séguéla to date. He worked on the script with Jim Birmant, one of the playwrights and producers of the international project Sounds of Noise, which received the highest appreciation from press and audience ten years ago.

A cynical doctor Mamu-Mani is played by comedian Michel Blanc. Blanc was twice awarded at the Cannes Film Festival (Best Actor and Best Screenplay) and received the Cesar Award (Best Actor in a Supporting Role) for the comedies Grosse Fatigue, Tenue de Soirée, and L’exercice de l’État. During his career, he played in 16 films with Josiane Balasco, Thierry Lhermitte and Christian Clavier, and in 7 pictures with Gérard Depardieu.

An unexpected partner is played by Hakim Jemili, who has never had a role in a big movie. Hakim Jemili is a French YouTube blogger, who became famous thanks to the band Le Woop. For his role in Docteur?, he was nominated for the Cesar Award as the Most Promising Actor.
